Well brace yourself for a long one…I thought it would be cool to post both Jessica and Matt’s engagement session and wedding since they were so close together. Let’s see….how would I describe the lovely couple? I would say real, kind, funny, and all about having a great time. From the engagement to the wedding, I really enjoyed myself around these two. Their dynamic is positive and you know that they are truly meant for each other when they are both willing to hang out in a dumpster together! (See below.)
They just like to goof around and be silly and I think that is one of the key elements to a successful marriage. Jessica and Matt, you two rock!! Thanks for all the great photo opps and I am honored that you chose me to document one of the most life changing events in your lives. Love ya! xoxo Abby
And now for the wedding….
A quick rundown of the who, what, where, and when…. Jessica and Matt’s wedding was held at Paradise Cove on March 13th, in Orlando. I love this venue because, well let’s face it, where else can you find a beach atmosphere here in “Land-locked” Orlando???
This was a perfect setting for the couple and all their guests. Jess’s dress was hand-made and had a “goddess-like” feel to it. Her hair was pinned up with braids inter-twined, and a peacock feather placed perfectly in her hair to top it off! I love her attention to detail. She looked like a goddess and I love this style! Matt and they guys wore khaki linen suites, brown ties, and signature brown “Chucks” (Converse for all of you who don’t know the lingo.)All the guests were patiently seated awaiting Matt’s arrival by boat. They traveled from their hotel across the lake and stepped straight out and lined up at the ceremony. A string quartet was playing renditions of their favorite songs ranging from Dashboard Confessionals to Cold Play. Jess excitedly walked down the aisle to meet Matt and the ceremony began. I will say that March weddings are one of the most beautiful months to have a wedding and this proved to be true on their day. The reception was absolutely a celebration with the amazing “Black Honkeys” performing. This band will keep everyone on their feet. They made a game where anytime throughout the night, if they start playing “Foot Loose”, then everyone has to put these crazy sunglasses on and start dancing like they were straight out of the movie! It was fun and great to photograph! After the cake-cutting and more dancing, Jessica and Matt were sent off by all their family and friends. Bubbles filled the air as they waved goodbye on the boat. I could tell Jess was not wanting the party to end. Congrats again on a fabulous wedding guys!!! A special thanks to Shem for helping me document these crazy kids!
